Minor alignment issues with the teeth in your dentition can lead to minor chips, and fractures on multiple teeth. At the same time, deviations in your dentition can also promote dental attrition on one or two of your teeth.

Even after Dr. Wilford Samson has repaired the affected teeth with dental fillings or dental crown restorations, your mouth could still be at risk of further problems.

Should this be the case Dr. Samson might recommend fitting you for Invisalign®. This popular brand of clear plastic aligners can often correct minor deviations in the alignment of your dentition in as little as six to eight weeks.

The process starts with Dr. Samson forming a detailed impression of your teeth. It will be sent to the Invisalign® labs to guide their technicians while they create your aligners.

You will need to wear the Invisalign® braces in your mouth for 20 to 22 hours each day. This will allow them to progressively stretch the periodontal ligaments that anchor each of your teeth in its socket. You will need to change to a new set of aligners every two weeks to fully correct the position and orientation of your teeth.

If you live in the Enfield, Connecticut, area and you have suffered damage to your teeth from due to deviations in the alignment of your teeth, you should call 860-749-2225 to schedule a consultation and examination at Enfield Family Dental.
